MTZ Int'l Collision Parts has the best automotive replacement headlights, fog lights, corner lights, park lights and taillights for domestic and imported vehicles.

Our lights are purchased from the same company as the Original Equipment lamp supplier to Ford Motor Company (through Visteon), International Truck, and Fleetwood Industries.

Each lamp meets or exceeds applicable DOT/SAE standards and complies with the U.S. Motor Vehicle Safety Standard, FMVSS-108.

CAPA Certified Lamps

CAPA = Quality Assurance + Opportunity

The CAPA program (Certified Automotive Parts Association) is a quality assurance program that helps maintain a high level of quality in today’s collision repair parts. The collision repair market is made up of largely insurance-covered repairs, 70% of those insurance covered repairs prescribe CAPA certified parts.

CAPA is responsible for creating exacting standards for each type of collision product; manufacturers will need to meet these standards in order to be CAPA certified. Meeting these stringent standards ensures that the product is as close to the OE as possible, making them a viable alternative to the Original Equipment.

In 2005, MTZ became the first retailer to sell CAPA certified lights. MTZ brands of CAPA certified lamps create repair opportunities since they are the preferred parts specified by some Insurance companies. CAPA currently has certification standards for sheet metal, bumpers, and lamps, catering specifically to the collision repair market.

TYC CAPA Certified Lamps

CAPA certified TYC brand lighting products are designed to be OE comparable in form, fit and function; and are highly regarded as viable quality alternative parts in the collision repair industry. Through years of close work with CAPA, TYC/Genera is able to offer a vast selection of CAPA certified lighting products for today’s most popular vehicles. We are constantly developing new, top selling applications to keep atop of the changing industry. In addition, our aggressive production planning ensures that large quantities of CAPA certified products are always in stock to achieve high fill rates for customers requiring CAPA certified products.

Overview of stringent CAPA-Certification procedures for lighting products:

1.             VDI - Vehicle Dimensional Inspections with precise dimensions are collected from vehicles to ensure precision “accurate in-vehicle” lamp positioning. This data is then used to create lighting fixtures utilizing computer generated 3-D CAD data.

2.             FMVSS-108 - In addition to comprehensive photometry testing, metallurgical and material compositions are analyzed and validated via infrared spectroscopy. Impact tests for lens and housing are conducted at room temperature and after 4-hour exposure at -30 degrees Celsius. Other durability testing includes abrasion, humidity, rain, salt spray, vibration, mounting stud strength, and thickness measurements of vacuum metalizing ('chroming') of housing.

3.             VTF - Vehicle test fit processes to ensure precise fitment of light assemblies on vehicles.

4.             Certification - Random selection of production batches for photometry testing with final approval via official CAPA certification.
